Calum attended Heriot University and then completed the Napier University technical photography course.
He began his working career as a studio photographer specialising in 5×4 & 10×8 sheet formats.
Moving to Australia he joined Sydney Opera House with responsibilty for theatre lighting and exhibition design before becoming
Exhibition Coordinator for the Ministry for the Arts, Melbourne.
On his return to the UK he spent time with Phoenix London Theatre Lighting
and Medici Society Fine Art Printers London before moving back to Aberdeen where he worked with 2W Wharton Williams as an Offshore Photographic Technician.
In 1981 he and Chris established Photo Technical Services Photo Lab before they transferred to Edinburgh and set up Giclée in 2001.
